How secure is my data?We understand the importance of protecting your financial data. At smartCent, we use a multi-layered approach to keep your information safe: Data Encryption: We use industry-standard encryptions to safeguard your data. The database is also GDPR compliant. Secure Connections: Partnering with Basiq ensures your banks are securely connected with bank-grade security and that we have read-only access to your data. We use TLS encryption for data transmission. Data Privacy: Our robust database security ensures that your data is under your control and no one can get unauthorised access. See Privacy Policy and Data Policy for more details. Password Security: Your password is encrypted, and we never have access to it. If you forget your password, you can easily reset it yourself. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Every login requires 2FA for an extra layer of protection. Payments Security: Partnering with Stripe ensures that all payment and subscription information is handled securely without storing your credit card or other payment details.

Why do you need my bank login information?Your details are required to establish a secure connection with your bank. We do not have access to or store any of this information.

Can smartCent transfer money?No, smartCent only has read-only access to your bank data. This means we cannot transfer money between your accounts or perform any other action beyond retrieving and displaying your transaction data in your smartCent account. We only gather necessary data for viewing purpose.

How do I get started with smartCent?Getting started is simple: Sign up: Use your email or Google Gmail account to create an account. Choose a plan: We offer both free and paid plans. The free plan allows you to upload transactions manually, while the paid plan allows you to link your bank accounts for automated tracking. Customise your experience: Once linked, your transactions will be automatically categorised. You can manually adjust categories, mark transactions as bills, and set up budgets. Track your progress: Use our dashboard, budgeting tool and calendar to monitor spending, bill payments, and more.

How do I subscribe to a plan?Subscribing to a smartCent plan is easy and secure. After signing up, simply choose the plan that fits your needs. Payments are processed securely via Stripe, and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan anytime. We do not store payment information, ensuring your financial details are always safe.

What happens if I unsubscribe during the trial period?If you unsubscribe during the trial period, your account will revert to the free plan without any charges.
